February 15th, 2021- a day that most Texans will never forget…referred to as, “Snowmaggedon”, “Snowpocalypse”, “Snovid21”. We had 3 solid days of snow and ice causing our power grids to fail state wide. Those that still had power were put on a rolling blackout schedule. Some lost water, and some had pipes bursting in their homes, flooding the things that they own. Our roads were frozen over and not safe for driving for the majority of vehicles. I had anticipated that text message from Ashlyn a few days before the wedding saying that we might have to cancel the wedding. By the grace of God, and a lot of rushing around…the wedding went on. And on Ashlyn & Chris’ wedding day, there was a tiny bit of snow remaining on the ground. What a story they have to tell about their wedding! And it was a damn fun one, at that!
