This Ruidoso, NM Adventure Engagement Session was E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. And what an adventure it was! Callie and Tanner have a family cabin in this precious town, so it was the perfect choice for their backdrop. We started our weekend with mimosas and checking out the beautiful mountains of Ruidoso. And how can you be in Ruidoso and not visit the famous horse races? We had a blast betting on horses named Sweet Candy Man and Tee Shot Dolly.
Everyone agreed that it would be awesome to do a hike together…and goodness, did we pick out a good one. Nogal Summit was definitely a tough hike and pushed us both mentally and physically. It was so rewarding, not only for the heavenly views, but for the bonding experience of peaking a mountain together.
We had heard there were wild horses that run through town on occasion and if we were lucky, we might just see them! Well we were lucky, and we did see them! After we wrapped up our session at the top of Monjeau Lookout, we drove right by the herd!
We also had hopes to see a bear while we were on our trip. Many people told us that we most likely would not see one in town. BUT. The morning that we were heading out, Google maps took us down this little neighborhood and we drove right up on a guilty looking bear. So guilty that he climbed the tree right next to our truck. It was such a neat sight to see such a big animal shimmy right up a tree with ease.
These sessions are more than just photos. They are good for the soul and memories to last a life time.
