My Journey with Trent and Briana started long before April 16th, 2021. In fact, the first time I met Briana and Trent was at Trent’s twin brother’s wedding that I was photographing in 2018! (Side note: this is the second set of twin brothers in which I have photographed both of their weddings!) When you plan your wedding, you think of the worst things that could happen…but I don’t think that anyone could have anticipated a complete shut down of the world ONE WEEK before your wedding. Briana and Trent were devastated but handled everything with such grace. Ultimately, they just wanted to start their lives as husband and wife so they decided to elope at a cute little venue with just their parents and their son in attendance.

Fast forward to wedding day. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bride more relaxed and go with the flow. The weather was a bit gloomy- overcast and misting on and off all day. It was one of those…check-the-weather-radar-every-minute type of days. An outdoor ceremony was what Briana was dreaming of…and kept hoping for. But it just wasn’t in the cards. Last minute, they made the decision to move everything inside. And oh my goodness, I’m so glad they did because their first kiss as husband and wife is one of my favorites to date from the upstairs balcony.

The thing is…Briana and Trent are in this for life. And this is how I know. When a PANDEMIC shut down the world, they grabbed each other’s hands and they made adjustments. When rain threatened to ruin the celebration of their dreams, they gave themselves the grace to just enjoy the celebration and not sweat the small stuff. They chose to just be present and not sulk about things that were out of their hands. All that mattered was that they finally had their family and friends surrounding them in celebration. And they were husband and wife. That’s what it’s about.
