Sometimes I don’t even realize the power of what these sessions mean to my clients until the moments are unfolding before my eyes. But that is one of the main reasons I love these sessions so dang much. Getting to know my clients on a deeper level. Getting to know their story. And seeing exactly why all of the stars aligned so that they could find each other. The constant HUGE smiles that Lexi and Jason shared were so contagious that my mouth was sore from smiling so much…just from unconsciously imitating them.
I have to share a moment that really stuck with me during this session. Lexi had mentioned that her grandfather was her person. And she always wanted the kind of love that he and her grandmother shared. A man that would open the doors and refuse to let her carry the heavy things….not because he had to, but because he cared. When she met Jason, she knew she had found her person. And watching these two at this session, there is no doubt in my mind that they were made for each other. Cactuses were Lexi’s grandfather’s favorite…so she wanted to incorporate that into her engagement photos. As we were changing out some gear, they spotted a heart shaped cactus. Little signs that her grandfather was watching over her and proud of the woman she has become.
This Enchanted Rock Adventure Engagement Session was full of all the emotions and I feel just so lucky that I was the one that got to capture it all.
